| Today, world class golf courses and luxury hotels abound in a "north-of-the-border" attitude and a strong "Mexico-by-the-sea" atmosphere. However, Cabo San Lucas still remains a land of enchantment where the starkness and purity of the desert meet the dramatic waters of the Pacific Ocean and the incredible blue waters of the Sea of Cortez. Once you visit this remarkable land, it will capture your heart and you will feel complelled to return. |

Cabo San Lucas has a very colorful history. In the late 1500's the area was a playground for pirates where English pirates used the harbor as a hiding place for attacks on Manila galleons. By the 1930's the town's population was a tiny 400, but after WWII, it became a popular destination for sportfishers, who came for the billfish and dubbed the waters "Marlin Alley."
